Keep Choppin'

The 2006 Rutgers Scarlet Knights football team is considered by many to be one of the very best ever to wear the Block R. Ten years later, the team returned to Piscataway to celebrate that magical season, reconnect with old friends, and reflect upon all they have accomplished since their time On The Banks.

Rutgers MLAX Career Site Visit

The Rutgers men's lacrosse team headed to New York City last week for its second annual "MLAX Finance Career Day." Designed for those students currently exploring careers in finance, 14 student-athletes spent the day learning from top-level executives and young alums who all had plenty of wisdom and insights to share. The team started the day at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where host Ferdinand Masucci delivered great on nailing the interview and remaining relevant throughout one's career. Next up was the team's visit to PwC for both a working lunch and mini team reunion, hosted by Chris Heffernan, '85. Joining Chris for a lively discussion were Thomas Badger, '92,' Ed Bartleson, '13, James Connelly, '89, and Will Mangan, '12. The guys wrapped up their day at Napier Park Global Capital, where they talked with three members of the management team -- Sr. Managing Partner Jim O'Brien plus Rutgers alumni Fred Hoffman, '86, and Michael O'Brien, '91 -- as well as the principals of two start-up investment/consulting firms, Elliott Aronson, RU 'TK, with Iliad Realty Group, and Melanie Santos Grant, RU '94, with Escalatus.
